Google Webmaster’s help videos today gave a clear hint about how breadcrumbs impact the search ranking of your website.

We have often encountered situations where there is a long series ( typically more than 3 steps ) of breadcrumbs on a page. This is typically applicable in commerce websites.

According to Matt Cutts, Google will pickup the first breadcrumb. I wonder that does that imply that the rest of the breadcrumbs will be ignored? Breadcrumbs define sub-categories in a site structure and sub-categories are important for classification on an item.
